Meet Nicole

I am a clinical psychologist and EMDR consultant and EMDR Institute facilitator specialising in EMDR therapy, working mainly with PTSD, phobias, and complex trauma and dissociation.

Nicole Fraine Psychologist

For the past ten years I have been working with adults, adolescents and children in private practice. I was a school guidance counsellor and psychologist for 15 years before going into private practice.

I have also trained in Mindfulness and find this is a wonderful practice to help clients learn to manage and ultimately thrive in their daily lives.

I am married with two very active boys at home. For my own physical and mental wellbeing I practise yoga, enjoy bushwalking and grow a lot of my own food. As a working mother, I find it crucial to maintain my energy and wellbeing and to continue to grow so I can give the energy I need to when I am helping others to increase their wellbeing.

My goals in helping you as my client

  • To assist you to let go of the baggage associated with your past that interferes with you living in the present and making the right decisions for your future.

  • To provide a holistic experience, working with mind, body and spirit in a way that creates new possibilities and opportunities.

  • To help you to learn skills to manage your emotions, thoughts and body sensations so that you can more easily deal with the inevitable ups and downs as you experience everything that life has to offer.

  • To help you to find happiness in the sense that you can experience life as meaningful, productive and joyful.

  • To empower you to be the best that you can be, feeling empowered to make a difference, not only for yourself but for this difference to flow on to others.
